Lucille’s gets many questions from our guests. We have
posted the most frequently asked questions along with our answers. We will
be updating this list regularly.
Question: Who Owns Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que?
Answer: Lucille's is a privately held company owned by Craig Hofman, the founder.
Question: How can I get recipes of your menu items?
Answer: Lucille’s recipes are proprietary and we do not share them outside the company. In the future we will be sharing home kitchen recipes for use with our sauces and rubs.
Question: Do you have Nutritional Information for your menu items?
Answer: We do not have that information available at this time.
Question: Do you take restaurant reservations?
Answer: Yes, call your nearest Lucille's to make a reservation. We also have call ahead seating at selected locations for parties of six or less only. Call your nearest Lucille's from your home or car to add your name to list.
Question: What do you do for Birthday or Anniversary Celebrations?
Answer: If you notify the server of your celebration you will receive a complimentary scoop of our vanilla bean ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, cherry and a candle.
Question: Do you offer Take Out?
Answer: Lucille’s entire menu is available To Go. We also offer a Party Size Bar-B-Que Menu To Go.
Question: Do you Deliver?
Answer: For smaller orders we have several companies that will deliver our food. Please contact the Lucille's location nearest to you for the delivery companies phone number. For orders over $1000.00, contact our catering department and we will be happy to help you organize and deliver your order.
Question: Can you tell me about the artwork in Lucille’s and where I can acquire similar art?
Answer: Most of the art and artifacts in Lucille’s are original Southern folk art. The artists are from all over the country. You can purchase similar art through E-Bay auctions by looking up blues art, black folk art or Southern art.
Question: Do you Cater Special Events?
Answer: We have created a catering program designed to help you plan any kind of event. From office parties, family BBQ's and even weddings, we have the right program to fit your event. Contact our catering department at 866.598.RIBS(7427) or catering@lucillesbbq.com.
Question: What meats do you smoke and for how long?
Answer: We smoke and cook the following meats in our smoker oven for the approximate times:
Baby Back Ribs 3-4 hours Pork Roast 10-12 hours St. Louis Ribs 3-4 hours Ham 6-8 hours Beef Ribs 4-5 hours Chicken 2-3 hours Tri Tip 4-6 hours Pork Chops 2-3 hours Turkey Breast 3-4 hours
Question: Why do your meats have a pink color?
Answer: The Hickory wood smoking process adds a slightly pink color to the meats. All of our meats are fully cooked.
Question: What is Mop sauce?
Answer: Mops are simply a thin baste, sauce or marinade that generally contains the natural juices of the meat that can be used as a baste during the cooking process as well as being used like a gravy on the finished meats. Generally the sauce is mopped up with bread while enjoying BBQ dishes.
Question: Is B.B. King connected to Lucille’s?
Answer: Only in the way that we love and play his music in the restaurant and coincidentally his guitar is named “Lucille”.
Question: Does Lucille's have a Happy Hour?
Answer: All Lucille's locations offer happy hour in our Flying Pig Lounge. Happy Hour is available Monday through Friday 3pm - 7pm and nightly from 9pm to close. Visit the "EATS" section of our website to view our complete bar menu, including happy hour offerings.
Happy hour discounts are available in the lounge only.
Question: Does Lucille's feature "Live Entertainment"?
Answer: Live blues is featured at several Lucille's locations in our Flying Pig Lounge on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm - 11pm. Visit the "LIVE BLUES" section of our website to view the monthly entertainment schedule for the Lucille's in your area.
